Castel School - 1939 - 1945 During occupation by the German Forces at this time, schools were spread around, often being in private houses.
"I have some distant memories of the war years and the various places that were turned into schools, Cobo Mission being one of them, and La Haye du Puits Manor (The Roussels residence) where I went, Cobo Church Institute was another place and Albecq House where Dr. Heard lived, I also went there. It was odd, for as we moved up a class, we also moved up the road to another residence. "
